Frequently Asked Questions
Below are the questions we get most often from homeowners across Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and the wider Lehigh Valley — timelines, permits, financing, warranty, service area, and more. If you don’t see your question here, give us a call or request a free estimate and we’ll answer it directly. We’re a family-owned, bilingual (English/Spanish) contractor with 56+ five-star reviews and a Pennsylvania HIC license (#PA192077).
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — every estimate is free. We can usually schedule an in-home walkthrough within the same week you call, and get your written estimate out fast after that.
How long does a typical bathroom remodel take?
Most bathroom remodels take about **2 weeks** from demo to final walkthrough. Larger master baths with structural changes can run longer, but 2 weeks is our average for a standard bathroom.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Kitchen timelines depend on complexity and cabinet lead time. Once materials arrive, most kitchens run 2–3 weeks. We give you a realistic timeline before we start and stick to it.
How far out are you booking?
We’re typically booked 2–3 weeks out. If your project is time-sensitive, let us know when you reach out and we’ll be straight with you about what we can fit in.
Do you handle permits?
Yes — we handle permits whenever they’re required, and coordinate with licensed electricians and plumbers when the job calls for it. You don’t have to chase paperwork.
Do you offer financing?
Yes — we offer flexible payment options so you can spread project costs out. Ask us at your estimate and we’ll walk you through what’s available.
Do you offer a workmanship warranty?
Yes — we back our labor with a 1-year workmanship warranty on flooring and painting. For remodels, we stand behind our work and will make it right if something isn’t up to standard.
¿Hablan español? / Do you speak Spanish?
Sí — JD y el equipo son bilingües. We’re fully bilingual in English and Spanish, so you can communicate however feels most comfortable during your project. Podemos darle su estimado y contestar todas sus preguntas en español.
What areas do you serve?
All of Lehigh County plus Bethlehem, Easton, Emmaus, Quakertown, Fountain Hill, Palmer, Palmerton, Bath, Nazareth, Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Macungie, and West Easton. If you’re in the Lehigh Valley, we probably serve you — just ask
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed and insured in Pennsylvania. PA HIC #PA192077. We’re happy to send our license and insurance certificate to any homeowner before we start work.
What's the difference between a remodel and a renovation?
In practice, most people use the words interchangeably, and so do we. If you’re changing finishes, fixtures, and layout in an existing space (say, gutting a bathroom and rebuilding it), that’s usually called a remodel. If you’re restoring or updating without major changes, that’s usually a renovation. Either way, we handle the full scope: design decisions, demo, build, and finish.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards, and we offer flexible payment plans so you don’t have to pay the full project cost up front. We’ll walk through payment schedule at your estimate.
What's your process from estimate to final walkthrough?
Four steps:
(1) You call or request an estimate online
(2) We come out for an in-home walkthrough — usually within the same week — and send you a written quote,
(3) once you approve, we schedule your start date and order materials, and
(4) we complete the work with JD personally overseeing every job from demo to final walkthrough. You get one point of contact the whole way through.
Do I need to be home while you're working?
No — many of our clients aren’t. We’re used to working in occupied homes and empty ones. If you’re leaving us with a key or code, we treat your home like our own — clean up daily, protect floors and furniture, and communicate any decisions that come up during the day.
